The Day They Kicked God Out of School

This is so good, but I post this with care and tenderness. This is not a time to come up with philosophical reasons for the tragedy in Boston or Newtown. We have to look back to why our country is in the condition it is now. It started years ago, and apathy set in the church. Nobody cared. Everyone who could have done something to stop this wave of evil for going forth, didn't care. Now tragedies are happening on a regular basis. We have to respond as a church that represents the true and living God. We have to turn the tide back or we won't have a free nation any longer. We have no guarantee of God's protection over us if we disregard Him. The Day They Kicked God Out of School

I am also going to post the link to a message on Boston from John Piper. He has a very good perspective and insight into tragic situations like this.

Let's be praying for Boston, our nation, and the church in America today.

On another note, I am appalled because of things I see every day that indicate the weakening of convictions that come from God, in the lives of people who are professing Christians. Today, I read a post about a school headmaster who showed a video to his school (a Christian school) on the horrors of abortion. What was interesting was that the parents of these children, who were middle school aged, were in an uproar about this. What would parents be irate over a video that shows the horrors of abortion? Now I could understand (up to a point) if this were a public school situation, but we are not talking about a public school here. We are talking about a 'Christian' school. What is wrong with this picture? Do not the parents of these students know that God is going to punish immorality one day? Do they not care if their sons and daughters go on a path that leads to hell? Even a moral person would be concerned, up to a point, but these are professing 'Christians'. Where do we get the idea that we can live like we want to and do whatever we want without any consequences?
I went to a public school, many years ago. I remember that the school showed a movie on the horror of taking drugs. Looking back, I am grateful that the school did that. It saved me from many heartaches that could have been mine. I don't remember parents being upset about this either. What has happened to our society? Where did the fear of God go?

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. " 1 Corinthians 6:9,10 ESV

"There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
19 a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers." Proverbs 6:16-19 ESV

Notice the word 'abomination'. It means something that God really hates.

We need help. We need God's help. Only God can help us in our desperate situation.
